Oh, and his passives are terrible - increasing headshot damage for humans? They die in one hit normally anyway. When I think sniper I think "get high, shoot from vantage point". Maybe they figured he needed a ranged way to finish off vamps he made vulnerable? Cloak is fine, and gives you a breather, but his lack of vertical mobility is depressing. He's got a bird for scouting, a cloak for stealthing, and can summon a headshotting sniper rifle as his ultimate.īut here's the issue - they clearly ran out of ideas for the Bird, so around midway through its progression it goes from "marking" enemies to quick cooldown attack - but this aint bloodwing from Borderlands - it's a long slow animation with minimal damage. Nominally he's meant to be a stealth sniper. Jacob and Layla feel like they were designed for a different game, while Dev and Remi create fairly engaging loops, with Dev being a clear standout. I've tried each of the characters now, and have to say they do not stack up equally.
